Our guide will help you to acquire a deeper understanding of the local area, with a particular emphasis on the way in which man has made use of the natural environment. Six different walks are available : - The narrows of the Seine at Poses : This is a walk of discovery along the Seine, whose history is closely linked to the former boating village of Poses and its inhabitants. - The land of the Puchaux : Following the tracks of the tile industry, in a village which made especially good use of its local resources. - Transhumance on the slopes of the Seine at St Pierre : Discovering the slopes of the Seine valley, in the steps of the shepherds of yesteryear. - Between the Eure and the Iton : At the confluence of the Eure and Iton rivers, encounter the traditional styles of the local architecture, in harmony with its environment. - In the steps of St Lubin : On the outskirst of Louviers, between pool and forest, the legend of St Lubin reveals different aspects of the natural world. - the Becdal ravine : Water flowing through chalk makes this wet valley resemble a Norman Amazon; exploited for many years, it is well worth exploring during a short ramble. A programme is available for walkers on their own. Personalised walks can be organised for groups of 10 to 15 : please contact our guide atlionel.grenet@seine-eure.com Please note that guided walks are in French only.
